Ministers delay decision on reducing arms in capital

The committee tasked by the Cabinet to investigate the spread of weapons throughout Lebanese territories and particularly in the capital failed to put forward any suggestions to address the issue.

Army troops kill Fatah al-Islam leader and his deputy

Lebaqnese troops killed two Islamist militants including the head of an Al-Qaeda-inspired group which fought a battle with the army in 2007 that cost hundreds of lives, a military spokesman said.
