The Australian dollar jumped to nearly US90 cents in the New York session as investors piled into riskier assets after Ben Bernanke’s vow.The US dollar gained against the yen and Swiss franc but held steady against the euro after the Federal Reserve chairman pledged to provide more stimulus to the US economy if needed.
