Berri pledges to uphold 1701 and the right of resistance

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri reiterated Lebanon’s commitment to Resolution 1701, stressing that the resistance against Israel was a Lebanese necessity.Addressing crowds who gathered in the southern coastal city of Tyre to mark 32 years since the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr, the founder of the Amal Movement, Berri hailed the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
